Chalet Hotel La Collina

Chalet Hotel La Collina - Saas Fee - Switzerland - Great facilities in a small family-friendly hotel set in a car-free traditional Swiss mountain village with plenty to see and do

La Collina is a small chalet-hotel for just 8 families with excellent facilities including a cosy bar with open fire, leisure area with swimming pool, sauna and a jacuzzi. Our aim has been to bring elements of the Family Ski chalet experience into a small hotel we think is excellent for families. So we have reduced the number of beds to give families more space, created a creche and play facilities within the hotel for our childcare clubs and added our traditional chalet touches including afternoon tea laid on for your return from the slopes and 3 course dinner with unlimited wine.

The bedrooms are spacious by Alpine standards and all are ensuite with bath and/or shower. Most have a balcony though care must be taken with small children. Bedrooms include twin rooms, family rooms, and single rooms offering flexibility to accommodate families and groups of friends.

The fitness centre on the ground floor is a real bonus. It includes an 8m-4m indoor pool, a corner whirlpool hot tub, sauna with steam room and plunge pool, showers and relaxation area.

La Collina is situated on a small rise overlooking the beatiful old village of Saas Fee towards the amphitheatre of 4000m encircling peaks - the shell to the pearl of Saas Fee. It is a pleasant, level 10 minute walk to the ski school beginners area where ski lockers are available for weekly hire which means walking in ski boots is avoided. However the toy train and ski bus stop close to the hotel, convenient to take children the short distance to and from ski school. From here a short drag accesses the Felskinn cable car. There is also the option of a 5 minute or so walk through the village to the Alpin Express cable car where lockers for skis and boots are available for hire at Cesar Sports.

Our creche facilities are housed in chalet La Collina including two dedicated creches, one pictured below.Childcare: one of two dedicated creches in La Collina taking care of children on a family ski holiday

During the day the living area is sometimes used as a play area for older children.   All children in childcare will be given their lunch in the hotel.

See below for more pictures, including bedrooms.

The resort was fantastic & exceeded expectation.  The hotel could not have been more family focussed and the staff could not have been more considerate and helpful.

The children loved the tobogans/crazy golf/feeding the marmots and high ropes in the forest. The scooters were great fun but not for under 10's.  All great staff.
