Jam Tarts

Ingredients

1 pack shortcrust pastry
Jam

Butter for greasing tin

Equipment and preparation

Butter mini tart tins/muffin tray

Pre-heat oven to 200°C/180°C fan/gas mark 6

Method

  1. Roll out the shortcrust pastry on a lightly floured surface to just under
    the thickness of £1 coin. Stamp out circles using a pastry cutter and
    line mini tart tins or a muffin tray.
  2. Prick with a fork and spoon 1 teaspoon of jam into each (e.g. apricot,
    blackcurrant and strawberry). Stamp out shapes from the leftover
    pastry to decorate the tarts, if you like.
  3. Bake at 200°C/180°C fan/gas mark 6 for 12-15 mins, until the pastry is
    golden.

Leave to cool then dive in!
