The Local Area

Reberty is a small village with a lovely restaurant called ‘La Ferme’, a ski hire shop and a small Sherpa supermarket. Many more shops, restaurants and bars are located in Les Menuires which is a 15 minute trip down the valley on a ski bus, the bus runs at approximately 20 minute intervals throughout the day and into the evening. Les Menuires has a lovely swimming pool/sports complex if you fancy a break from skiing one day.

Three Valleys Piste Map  – take a sneaky look at the piste map, get ahead and plan some routes now. Reberty is perfectly positioned to enable you to explore the whole of the fantastic Trois Vallee skiing area with easy access to Val Thorens , Meribel and Courchevel.

Ski Apps – Download the official Les Menuires App for iphones or Androids which will allow you to access all sorts of resort specific information including weather forecasts, information on lift opening and closing times and itineraries to list but a few things.

Ski Tracks is another great App. You can download a version for iphones or androids for a small charge or download a “lite” version for free. Sit down after a long day on the mountain, glass of wine in hand and compare stats. The Ski Tracks App will show you the distance you’ve travelled, your average and top speeds and the numbers of runs completed.

Our favourite Restaurants/Bars

La Ferme de Reberty – we love this place, fantastic food and good service all at a reasonable price. Located in Reberty, only a very short walk from our chalets. Great for a coffee or beer if you just want to sit beside the piste and watch the world go by. Just as good for a relaxed mountain lunch and our top recommendation for the cook’s night off, don’t forget to book if you want an evening meal!

Restaurant Le Grand Lac – a lovely traditional mountain restaurant, a good destination for lunch at the bottom of the Grand Lac run, close to the Grange chair lift. On a sunny day take a seat on the terrace and enjoy the view over the scenic Belleville valley.

Le Bouche a Oreille – another restaurant with fabulous views sitting on the summit of Roc des 3 Marches à 2700 m. The restaurant is run by the same family as the 3-star Michelin restaurant La Bouitte in Saint Marcel. The food is delicious, with a hip vibe and very friendly service but it is on the pricey side, be warned!

Le Cocon des Neiges – this restaurant is at the bottom of the Bruyeres 1 telecabin. They serve a great tartiflette amongst other things and food is good value for money in our opinion.

Chalet Sunny – another good lunch stop serving tasty food in with a friendly atmosphere – you can take part a torchlit descent form here.

La Folie Douce – if you are over in Val Thorens this bar makes for an interesting stop! With a DJ or live music starting late afternoon you can try dancing in your Ski Boots!

La Bouitte – Saint Marcel de Belleville – if you have something to celebrate or just love good food this is the place for you, one of only 26 restaurants to be awarded 3 stars in the Michelin Guide, it’s run by René and Marie-Louise Meilleur who built it up from scratch. You will need to book well ahead and be prepared for a large bill! We hear it’s fabulous.
